Now a day, In the India iit(India institute of technology) is famous for engineering and it's field. AIIMS(All India institute of medical science) is one of  the world best institute for medical science and research. iim(India institute of management) is most famous institute for management.

IITs

       1) IIT KHARAGPUR: 
IIT Kharagpur has a 8.5 square kilometres (2,100 acres) campus and is residence to about 22,000 inhabitants. 
        2) IIT BOMBAY:
the institute has physically expanded to include more than 584 major buildings with a combined area of more than 2.396 gross square feet (550 acres or 2.22 km²).
       3)IIt Madras:
IIT Madras is a residential institute that occupies a 2.5 km² (617 acre) campus that was formerly part of the adjoining Guindy National Park
      4)IIT DELHI:
The current campus has an area of 320 acres (or 1.3 km²).
       5)IIT KANPUR:
IIT Kanpur is located on the Grand Trunk Road, 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) west of Kanpur City and measures close to 420 hectares (1,000 acres).
      6)IIT GANDHINAGAR:
The current campus has an area of 400 acres.
      7) IIT MANDI:
The total area of IIT Mandi is 538 acres of which about 200 acres is flat land while the rest is mountainous.
        8)IIT GOA:
Goa Government had identified land for permanent campus in Cotarli village measures approximately 320 acres.

The university's main campus spread over 1,300 acres (5.3 km2) was built on land donated by the Kashi Naresh, the hereditary ruler of Banaras ("Kashi" being an alternative name for Banaras or Varanasi).

IIT Patna's campus is located at AmharaBihta, 35 km from Patna at a 501 acres (203 ha) site.

The IITH campus is on a land area of 576 acre (234 hectare).

 The campus is on a 700 acres (2.8 km2) plot of land around 20 km from the heart of the city.
    14)IIT Ropar:
The campus is being built on the land earlier known as Birla Seed Farms. It is located over an area of 525 acres (2.12 km2). 
    15)IIT Bhuvneshwar:
The permanent campus of IIT Bhubaneswar is spreading over 936 Acres of land. It is situated at the foot of Barunei Hill.
     16)IIT Jodhpur:
IITJ is located about 24 km from Jodhpur city on National Highway 65 which connects Jodhpur to Nagaur. The site spans over 852 acres (3.45 km2) of land around Jhipasni and Gharao villages. 
   17)IIT indoor:
its permanent campus in Simrol which sprawls across 510 acres.
    18) IIT Palakkad:
 permanent campus in a 500-acre plot at Kanjikode will begin in 2018.
    19) IIT Tirupati:
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has proposed to provide land to an extent of about 530 acres for the development of the permanent campus.
   20) IIT Bhilai:
IIT Bhilai Campus is proposed to be constructed on a land area of about 432 acres at Kutelabhatha and Sirsa Khurd villages of Durg district.
